Welcome to Veils in Vogue! Our goal is to offer you a reasonably priced veil that will complement your entire wedding outfit. While we do carry some pre-made veils, most of our veils are custom-made--you decide on the width and length, number of tiers, edge finishes, embellishments (if desired). If you wish, you may also choose a headpiece, comb, tiara, or headband, either attached to your veil or detached. Each veil is made to your specifications after we receive your order, so it is special just for you (your veil will be made in a reasonable amount of time; no waiting for months like you do for your gown!). We also have headpiecesgarters, and ring bearer pillows. We want your wedding day or 1st Communion to be a very special event.
How to shop for your veil
Our veils are custom made uniquely just for you. The size of your veil, number of tiers, edge finishes and embellishments (crystals or pearls), if desired, are determined by your style of wedding and style and shape of your gown. Generally, the longer the veil, the more formal the wedding; hence, shorter veils are for more informal weddings. The time of day--morning, afternoon, or evening--also plays a part in how “formal” your veil, gown and ceremony will be. But it is also an individual decision dictated only by you, the bride! If you are having an afternoon wedding but really want a long, cathedral-length veil, go ahead and have it! This is YOUR special day and you should have what you want. The main thing to remember is that your veil should complement your gown, face, hair and jewelry, and not detract from it; all those components should go together smoothly. For example, if your gown has many pearls or rhinestones, you may want your veil to carry out that theme with some scattered pearls or rhinestones, as well as your headpiece and jewelry.
Veil widths and lengths
Veils generally come in widths of 72” and 108”. However, we also will do custom veils in lesser widths of 36” and 54” for those brides who only want a “wisp” of a veil. If you want a "blusher" veil (that is worn over the face until your new husband lifts it to kiss you) they range from 36”-108” in width (you may specify what you want). Veil lengths are demonstrated by the photographs. To determine your exact length needed, have a friend measure with a cloth tape measure from either the top or back of your head, depending on where you want your veil to be attached. If you prefer to have your veil fall strictly down your back, you should measure from somewhere at the back of your head. If you attach your veil on top of your head, then your veil will tend to “frame” your face, and the veil will fall around your shoulders and the front of your body. In our price charts, we list the average length that we make the veil; if you prefer a different length, let us know when you order. If the length you want is not too far off of the length given, there will be no extra charge.

NOTE: Some of the pictures on our site are actual brides or flower girls for whom we've made veils.

Veil Shapes/Styles
Our veils come in several different style (shapes). You may select your veil style from the following:
1). Traditional square design (most common)
2). Oval
3). Waterfall - Our own "Multnomah Falls" design with two or three tiers "falling" in gentle layers down the back (not an over-the-shoulder design). Please note, two or three tier ONLY.  Not available in one tier.
4). Our own cascading "Oregon Cascades" design, with differing lengths and shapes cascading down the back.

Flower Girl Veils
We also make flower girl veils for the little one (s) in your wedding party, and you can match your veil to hers!
Tiers
Single tier has one layer of illusion (the bridal veil fabric). Many brides prefer a one-tiered veil in order to allow the details of the gown back to show through easily. You may prefer a two-tiered veil if you want more fullness or details (edgings or embellishments) of the veil to show. The tiers may be of any length you choose. For example, for a fingertip-length veil, you may want your two tiers to be 44 and 48 inches, close together, or you may prefer them to be 32 and 48 inches, farther apart, for a more layered look. The choice is yours. One of the tiers may also act as a blusher veil, or you may wear a separate blusher. Three-tiered veils are not very common, but they do exist. If you would like 3 tiers, email us with the 3 lengths desired and we will get you a price.
Colors
Our veils come in white, diamond white, sparkle white and sparkle ivory. Diamond white is an off-white shade, also called candlelight. Some brides prefer this shade of white to go with a white silk wedding gown, where stark white would overshadow the gown, but ivory would be too dark. Sparkle white has an all-over sparkly effect on the veiling, especially wonderful for an evening candlelight wedding. The glow from the candles will pick up the sparkles beautifully. (please note in pricing that sparkle white veiling is slightly higher in cost than the other three).
Edge Finishes
We have many options available in edging your veil. You may choose from the options below.

Embellishments
You can have your veil made with or without embellishments. The veiling would be plain without any. With, you can have pearls, pearl teardrops--single, or in a trio--crystals, rhinestones, or a combination of any of these. You can have them scattered throughout the veil, or in a zigzag or straight border pattern, along the edging. How simple or ornate your prefer your veil is up to you! We custom-make everything to your specifications! Just remember with embellishments especially to strive to match your veil with your gown. If your gown has pearls, you may want pearls on your veil and headpiece also.
Headpieces
Unless otherwise stated, our veils are attached to 4 inch combs, undecorated, ready to wear with or without a headpiece. Note separate prices for headpieces that are either permanently attached to a veil, unattached, or detachable, making it possible for you to detach the veil but still wear the headpiece for the reception. Headpieces come as tiaras, headbands, decorated combs, or barrettes.

Don’t see what you like? Email us with your specifications and we’ll get back to you with a price.
